ASSET InterTech, Inc. Online Privacy Statement
ASSET InterTech, Inc. (ASSET) respects your privacy.
We want to make use of individual identifying information that you provide
to us for the purpose of serving you better. "Individual identifying
information" is information that enables us to identify you, such as
your e-mail address, name, title and address. ASSET uses the individual
identifying information to personalize your experience on our website and
web-based tools and also to be able to selectively send you communications
that may be of interest to you, either electronically or otherwise.
This Privacy Statement may change without any additional notice, so you
are encouraged to review this policy regularly or anytime you have a
concern about your privacy. Your
continued use of any of our web tools means that you accept the changes to
this Privacy Statement.
Our policy regarding use of your individual
identifying information supplied to us or collected via your experiences
with our web tools covers these areas:

This Online Privacy Statement is made available to you
to make you aware of how ASSET collects and uses individual identifying
information of visitors to the ASSET WWW site or any of our web tools.
ASSET collects the following information regarding
visitors to our website: domain name, name, information regarding what
pages are accessed, and information volunteered by you, such as survey
information, e-mail address, or site registrations.
ASSET does make individual identifying information
available to third parties, including business partners, for marketing

Choice/Consent
When you sign up for an email list, you will be given
instructions at that time on how to remove yourself from that list.
Data Security
ASSET is committed to taking reasonable steps to
protect the individual identifying information that you provide to us.
Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that certain WWW sites
write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain
information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you've
visited, but the only personal information a cookie can contain is
information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard
disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Some parts of the ASSET
WWW site use cookies to save information you might enter into forms more
than once. We do this to simplify completing registrations. ASSET InterTech
does not correlate this information with data about individual users, nor
does it share this information or sell it to any third party.
Web Tools Integrated with ASSET Products
When you request access to the Model Library, the ScanWorks Maintenance Benefits Library, the DFT Analyzer Web Resources or the Self-Service Licensing Tools,
information about the ASSET products you license and your computer's host ID and IP address may be sent to ASSET
InterTech. The information
may be used to determine eligibility for accessing the web tools, to create your license file, to assist in
assessing your needs for software upgrades, to update information in our sales and support databases, to assist in debugging web tool access problems, or to keep statistical data on web tool usage.
The ASSET Users Group Message Board
The message board is designed to allow ASSET customers
to communicate with other ASSET customers. ASSET uses ezboard for this
service. Privacy of the message board is governed by the ezboard
Privacy Policy. The ASSET administrator(s) for the message board may
have access to individual identifying information, as detailed in the ezboard
Privacy Policy. This information may be used to determine eligibility
for access to the message board, to filter inappropriate usage of the
message board, or to validate other internal records. ASSET is not responsible for the privacy
of information posted on the message board by its customers or for any
individual identifying information left unprotected by the user's
self-managed profile settings.
Support Wizard
ASSET uses a service called Support Wizard to
manage technical support questions on the web. Registration on Support Wizard requires your e-mail address
in order to communicate with you.
Other contact information, such as your telephone and address can be
supplied at your option. Individual
identifying information supplied to Support Wizard will be used to
communicate with you about your technical needs or to validate other
internal records. Confidential information that you write or attach in Support Wizard
tickets is visible only by you and by ASSET employees, unless you
specifically arrange with the administrator for others to see it.
The FTP Site
ASSET maintains both public and private ftp sites. The public site is for broadcasting public
information to customers, such as product downloads. The private site is for transferring private data between ASSET
and its customers. Access to the private (upload) directory is limited by both a customer login
and by user IP address range. Therefore, advance registration is required before using the
private ftp site. User login information, user IP addresses, and any information placed in
private ftp site folders will be accessible only by the account owner and by ASSET employees.
This information will not be shared with non-ASSET employees, unless specific permission is
granted by the account owner. |
