About Ethernet Hardware
Ethernet hardware is high-performance, cost-effective and extremely versatile. The hardware supports the ScanWorks platform software and is available in a single or multiple tap configurations.
RIC-1400 Single Port Instrumentation Controller
The next generation RIC-1400 is a compact, cost-effective and extremely versatile Ethernet or USB 3.0 controller. It is capable of high-speed test applications and has significant internal memory for storing tests, test results and application data. The RIC-1400 is a direct replacement for ASSETโs RIC-1000. The RIC-1400 supports an auto-sensing 10/100/1000 CAT5E/6 Ethernet interface and its voltage levels and Test Clock (TCK) frequencies are configurable. A future release of ScanWorks will support connecting the RIC-1400 directly to a ScanWorks PC via USB 3.0.
The RIC-1400 features simple cable connections and its compact size makes it easy to embed into testers or test fixtures. Pin-level diagnostics are supported as well as a wide variety of test types and programming algorithms. The RIC-1400 also supports ASSETโs Dispatcher application for parallel test capability.
- One TAP and ten software controllable bi-directional signals
- Choice of host interface – Ethernet or USB 3.0
- Ethernet interface โ 10/100/1000 Mbps: IP address assigned by user
- USB 3.0 – Low-/Full-/Hi-SuperSpeed (up to 5 Gbps)
- Increased internal memory over the RIC-1000 โ from 256 MB to 4GB
- Increased TCK frequency up to 80 MHz
- Configurable UUT logic levels from 0.8V to 3.3V
- SPI interface โ program SPI devices with external signal access
RIC-4000 Multi-Tap Remote Instrumentation Controller
The RIC-4000 provides an extremely flexible four-TAP interface for connecting the ScanWorksยฎ platform to as many as four units under test (UUT). It supports auto-sensing Ethernet and connects directly to the UUTs. The RIC-4000 can be assigned an IP address so that it can be available on a local network or the Internet. With the proper network connections and permissions, ScanWorks operations on a UUT can be controlled via the RIC-4000 from anywhere in the world.
- Four TAPโs and 32 software controllable bi-directional signals, 8 per TAP
- Ethernet interface โ 10/100/1000 megabits per second (Mbps)
- IP Addressable โ an IP address can be assigned by the user
- Significant storage โ 1GB of on-board memory for test programs, test applications and test results
- Test Clock (TCK) frequency configurable up to 50 MHz
- Configurable UUT logic levels from 0.8V to 3.3V
